The Red Triangle

Triangles in the sky, reflecting everyone’s feelings.
Some spin and some stand still, changing color and texture as each set of eyes widen and squint with disbelief.
Laying my head on a grassy rabbit’s mound, smiling and shaking the hands of each familiar face that drifts by.
The air smells like gunpowder and cherries.
The smell makes a particular triangle glow a bright red hue…
and suddenly,
we are back in bed.
